Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the rules for using AbuseZero. It applies to everyone who uses our website, dashboard, API, and SDKs, and forms part of our Terms of Service.

2. Permitted use

You may use AbuseZero to evaluate whether a person is eligible to claim a legitimate trial, credit, or offer on a product or service that you operate or are authorized to protect.

3. Prohibited use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone’s rights.
  • Discriminate against people on the basis of protected characteristics, or make decisions about credit, employment, housing, insurance, or other legally regulated eligibility outside what the Service is designed for.
  • Submit personal data you have no right or lawful basis to process.
  • Profile, track, or surveil individuals for purposes unrelated to preventing abuse of your own offers.
  • Build a competing product, or use the Service’s output to train a competing model.
  • Resell or provide access to the Service to third parties without our written agreement.

4. Platform integrity and security

You may not:

  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission.
  • Bypass or interfere with rate limits, authentication, usage metering, or plan limits.
  • Introduce malware, or disrupt the Service or other customers’ use of it.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, models, or detection logic, except where the law allows.
  • Use the API to test or determine what evades detection, or to help others evade it.
  • Share API keys, or access the Service with automated tools in a way that exceeds your plan.

5. Content and data standards

  • Send only the data needed to make an evaluation.
  • Do not send sensitive categories of data, such as government ID numbers, payment card data, health data, or biometric data, unless we have agreed in writing.
  • Do not send data about children under 16.

6. Responsibility for decisions

You are responsible for the actions you take based on the Service’s output. Do not rely on a single signal as proof of wrongdoing. Provide a fair way for your users to contest decisions where appropriate or required.

7. Reporting violations

If you believe someone is violating this AUP, or you find a security issue, tell us through the contact page linked below. Please give us reasonable time to respond before disclosing publicly.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations. Depending on severity, we may warn you, limit or suspend access, remove content or data, terminate your account, and report unlawful activity to authorities. We try to give notice where reasonable, but we may act immediately to protect the Service or others.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the changes.
